i kinda hate these old art recolorings on principal almost in general but this one i like. most of the others are shticky and over rendered in a "modern" style whereas this one captures the spirit of the original
Thanks Barksodaverne These covers are different than the regular covers. Really glad you like them, they are challenging because they are fully painted instead of a typical color job where the color is underneath the line art. And that changes a lot. The challenge is that when you paint them it adds a whole new layer of depth and volume to the piece that was not there in the orginal. With a regular coloring job it is mostly a flat design with an emphasis on shape. Even tho it is done digitally I try to imagine it as if I was painting it with Oils or acrylics. I am going to start doing traditional paintings of some of these covers shortly.

not at all! you merely put words on what I like about your work, that is to say, the adding of a whole new layer through painting, instead of only an emphasis on shape...that's why I can't wit for your traditional paintings, it sounds extemely interesting to me!!
